In October of this year, the ACC (Chilean Society of Cinematographers) held the fifth version of its annual event “Ampliar La Mirada” (Widen the View). A week of workshops and talks about cinematography open to the public.

This year, we had a gathering of nearly 500 people, who, for four days, starting on Monday, October 23, enjoyed and learned from our national and international guests. Highlighting the Argentine cinematographer, Yarará Rodríguez, ADF.

Among the different workshops and talks, the following stood out:

– Zone” Workshop System by Ed Lachman” with Rodrigo Ramírez, Jonathan Maldonado, ACC, Sebastián Monreal and Rodrigo Stambuk
– Workshop “RED Komodo X and Raptor + Laowa ” by Álvaro Charón with Ignacio Walker
– Workshop “Optics: Filming the era” by Yarará Rodríguez
– Talk “Filming Chile, 1976” by Yarará Rodríguez with Camila Rodó
– Talk “ Colorfront ” by Sebastián Bueno (Colombia)
– Talk “The Memory of Color” by Pamela Valenzuela with Valeria Fuentes
– Talk “The Color of Black and White” by Inti Briones, ACC, DFP, Natalia Medina and David Bravo

For the first time, the ACC joined forces with another initiative, CINE Talks & Wine , which brought together film brands at an open fair at the JPF Cine studios, sharing the first two days of our celebration of cinematography. In addition to an exclusive barbecue from RED and Colorfront invited by Nacho MF.

The Universidad Mayor (Mayor University), which has been committed to the ACC for years, received the different guests during the last two days, closing with the ACC Awards, our recognition of the most outstanding cinematography of our members.
